Adam Gillard

Adam began his career in the asbestos industry in 2011 as a Trainee Test Engineer, developing extensive technical expertise in the testing, servicing and maintenance of critical asbestos removal equipment. Throughout his career, he has specialised in maintaining H-Type vacuums, Negative Pressure Units (NPUs) and respiratory protective equipment (RPE), carrying out mechanical and electrical repairs, and ensuring all equipment meets the highest standards of safety and compliance. Adam also achieved BSIF Fit2Fit accreditation, demonstrating his recognised competence in face fit testing through regular reassessment.

Following his initial engineering role, Adam joined an asbestos removal contractor based in the Bristol area, where he spent 11 years as the company’s sole engineer, supporting multiple branches across the business. He was responsible for testing, servicing and maintaining both company-owned and client equipment, ensuring all statutory inspections and servicing requirements remained up to date and fully compliant. His technical knowledge and commitment to reliability helped maintain safe and efficient operations throughout the organisation.

Driven by a long-term ambition to broaden his professional experience, Adam sought to progress into a management role where he could apply his technical expertise on a wider organisational level. In 2025, he joined Rightway Environmental Ltd as Compliance Manager, overseeing a broad range of compliance functions across the business. Working closely with Group Director Karen Fudge, Adam plays a key role in supporting the company’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance and operational excellence.

Adam’s wealth of hands-on industry experience, combined with his practical approach and in-depth technical knowledge, makes him a valuable member of the Rightway Environmental team. He is passionate about ensuring compliance, promoting best practice and supporting both colleagues and clients in delivering safe, efficient and fully compliant asbestos services.
