At RightwayEnvironmental Ltd, we’re proud to have played our part in helping with an important DIY SOS project at Feniton, Honiton in Devon .
As part of the project, our specialist team carried out the safe and controlled removal of approximately 2m² of asbestos-containing AIB from the front porch, helping to make the area safe and ready for the wider transformation.
Asbestos removal requires specialist knowledge, training and strict controls. The work was therefore carried out under fully controlled conditions, using a sealed enclosure under negative pressure, specialist respiratory protection and a dedicated decontamination unit.
The asbestos-containing material was carefully removed, cleaned and securely packaged for licensed disposal. Once the work and cleaning were complete, the area underwent the required a four-stage clearance process before the enclosure was dismantled and the area handed back.
It may not be the most visible part of a renovation, but specialist asbestos removal is an essential step in helping ensure projects like this can move forward safely.
