Reef Pickering

Reef joined Rightway Environmental Ltd in June 2025 after completing his education and has now been with the company for ten months as an Apprentice Contract Manager. During this period, he has actively developed his knowledge and skills within the asbestos removal industry while gaining valuable practical, operational, and commercial experience.

Working closely with the Rightway Environmental management team, Reef has received consistent guidance and support, enabling him to develop a thorough understanding of the responsibilities involved in managing asbestos removal projects from initial enquiry through to successful completion. He has gained experience in preparing quotations, planning and scheduling works, liaising with clients, coordinating project documentation, and assisting with the overall delivery of contracts.

Alongside his office-based responsibilities, Reef regularly attends site visits to strengthen his understanding of asbestos removal operations and site management. These visits have provided him with first-hand exposure to a wide range of project types, enhancing his knowledge of asbestos legislation, industry regulations, and safe working practices. They have also improved his understanding of how projects are managed on site and the importance of maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance throughout each stage of the works.

Over the past ten months, Reef has steadily taken on greater responsibility and developed increased confidence in his role. This experience has strengthened both his technical knowledge and professional skills, and he continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to his professional development as he works towards becoming a fully competent Contract Manager with Rightway Environmental Ltd.
