GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY LEAGUE TITLE WIN FOR WICK FC
Rightway Environmental are proud supporters of local football team #WickFC, who last week won the #Marcliff #Gloucestershire County #League title. After a 2-1 win against Shirehampton, they beat rivals Hanham Athletic 3-0 at their final fixture.
Wick’s triumph goes down as one of the most successful seasons in the clubs history. Having won the title, the club will be playing step 6 #football next season which is the highest they have ever been and will now be promoted into #Toolstation #Division One.
With three senior sides playing on a Saturday and a successful vets side on a Sunday, Wick FC are now looking to add a junior set up to the club and are seeking interest from anyone wishing to help take this on.
The team has had a memorable season, only suffering 2 defeats and going on a 23 #league unbeaten run to win. They reached the #GFA quarter finals, going down 3-1 to Roman Glass which ended up being their only defeat in 28 matches come the end.
