Asbestos Removal
Rightway Environmental have recently completed a large asbestos removal project for Lancer Scott at St Georges House in Cheltenham. The four storey building, constructed in the 1960’s, is currently being used as office accommodation by a well-known travel company.
The remedial works were undertaken in a series of different phases over a 9-month period to enable the occupiers to continue working in the building with minimum disruption to their operation. Access was maintained to internal staircases and floors for office staff by providing a fixed scaffolding erected to the front elevation of the building which enabled Rightway operatives to gain access and egress to each phase of the works.

The asbestos removal was necessary to facilitate refurbishment of electrical and mechanical services throughout various floors by Lancer Scott. Asbestos sprayed coating residues were present from previous poor stripping operations over an area exceeding 1000 square metres over 3 floors.
